BODYBAR PILATES SETS RECORD FOR U.S.’S LARGEST REFORMER PILATES CLASS

PR Newswire

100 participants took to 100 reformers to celebrate Pilates’ centennial and BODYBAR’s 100th studio opening

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — BODYBAR Pilates, a leading modern Pilates franchise, today announced it successfully completed the largest reformer Pilates class on record in the United States. The first-of-its-kind workout brought together 100 participants on 100 reformers in Frisco, Texas. Held on Sunday, September 13, the event commemorated both the 100th anniversary of Pilates and BODYBAR’s milestone 100th studio opening. The event also raised $10,000, $100 per reformer, for the Foundation for Women’s Cancer in recognition of September’s Gynecological Cancer Awareness Month, helping further the organization’s mission to support and empower all affected by gynecologic cancers through education, research, and public awareness.

The first-of-its-kind workout brought together 100 participants on 100 reformers in Frisco, Texas.

The 50-minute class took place during the brand’s annual conference at the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star and featured BODYBAR’s franchise owners and instructors nationwide, along with invited media. The class was led by certified BODYBAR Pilates instructor and BODYBAR’s Chief Brand Officer, President and Co-Founder, Kamille McCollum, alongside a team of BODYBAR instructors.

“We wanted to celebrate Pilates’ centennial and our 100th studio opening in a fun, meaningful way, and this event exceeded every expectation,” said Kamille McCollum. “Bringing together 100 participants on 100 reformers was an incredible and unforgettable celebration of the power of Pilates. Plus, having our team members, franchise owners and instructors all participate made it even more special. This event is a testament to how far both Pilates and BODYBAR have come and the incredible fitness communities built along the way. Cheers to 100 more years!”

The record-setting event comes just days after another major milestone for the Texas-founded brand. On Tuesday, September 8, BODYBAR opened its 100th studio in Presidio in North Fort Worth, in the very market where the franchise began. The milestone marks a significant moment in the brand’s growth as it continues expanding its footprint nationwide.

In 1926, Joseph and Clara Pilates opened their first Pilates studio in New York City. One hundred years later, BODYBAR Pilates did its part to honor the anniversary by bringing together 100 reformers and 100 participants moving as one.

The class was made possible by Balanced Body®, Inc., the global leader in the design and manufacturing of Pilates equipment and education, which provided all 100 reformers. Additional partners included McCollister’s, handling shipping, setup and installation of the reformers; Pilabarre, the official grip sock sponsor for the class; FitRadio, providing on-site entertainment featuring resident DJ Stacie Hawk Carroll; and TAVI, gifting participants custom monogrammed “100” grip socks.

The event was independently organized and documented using standards consistent with formal record-keeping organizations. Verification materials, including participant counts, photographs and video documentation, have been compiled and are available upon request.
