Life for Relief and Development (LIFE) Strengthens Global Humanitarian Partnerships at DIHAD 2026

LIFE’s participation at DIHAD 2026 expanded opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and more effective responses to communities facing crisis

SOUTHFIELD, MI, UNITED STATES, September 11, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Life for Relief and Development (LIFE) participated in the 2026 Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD), joining humanitarian organizations, governments, United Nations agencies, private-sector leaders, researchers, innovators, and development experts from around the world to strengthen cooperation and help shape the future of humanitarian action.

Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme “Humanitarianism in Transition: Shaping the Future of Humanitarian Action,” DIHAD 2026 brought together more than 21,000 participants from 165 countries, creating a global platform for dialogue, partnership-building, and the exchange of solutions to increasingly complex humanitarian challenges.

For LIFE, participation in DIHAD reinforced a central message: as humanitarian needs continue to grow worldwide, no organization or sector can respond effectively alone. Stronger partnerships, faster coordination, innovative approaches, and long-term investment in vulnerable communities are essential to creating humanitarian responses that are both immediate and sustainable.

That emphasis on collaboration closely reflected the spirit of DIHAD 2026.

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Tariq Abdusalam Almadani, Member of the Board of Trustees of DIHAD Sustainable Organization and CEO of INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions and INDEX Design, welcomed participants by emphasizing the shared humanitarian purpose behind the gathering.

LIFE carried that spirit of collective action throughout its participation in the conference, engaging with humanitarian leaders and potential partners from around the world to exchange expertise, identify areas for collaboration, and explore practical approaches for improving emergency response and long-term recovery.

The scale of the gathering provided LIFE with an important opportunity to strengthen its international network and position its experience and humanitarian priorities within broader conversations about the future of global aid.

In an interview with ARN News Centre, H.E. Amb. Prof. Abdusalam AlMadani, Chairman of DIHAD Sustainable Organization, highlighted the international scope of the event and the breadth of the humanitarian community represented.

“Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates hosts the DIHAD Conference and Exhibition under the supervision of the United Nations,” AlMadani said. “This event is the largest humanitarian, charitable and relief gathering in the world, hosted by the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. All local, regional and international humanitarian and charitable organizations are participating. This year we also confirm the participation of more than 21,000 participants in this global scientific, charitable and humanitarian event.”

For LIFE, access to such a diverse humanitarian network created opportunities not only to share its own experience, but also to learn from organizations confronting similar challenges in different regions of the world.

Throughout DIHAD, LIFE emphasized the need to move beyond short-term assistance alone and invest in programs that help communities withstand future crises. LIFE’s approach combines emergency humanitarian assistance with longer-term initiatives in areas such as healthcare, education, clean water, food security, livelihoods, and community resilience.

The organization also drew from its experience serving communities affected by prolonged humanitarian crises, including in Somalia, where recurring drought, food insecurity, displacement, and limited access to essential services continue to place vulnerable populations at risk. LIFE emphasized that locally driven solutions, sustained investment, and dependable humanitarian partnerships are critical to creating lasting improvements.

LIFE also reaffirmed the importance of coordinated international action to address the immense humanitarian needs affecting civilians in Gaza. As humanitarian conditions continue to demand effective delivery of life-saving assistance, LIFE remains committed to working alongside humanitarian partners to support affected families and advance responses that are faster, better coordinated, and sustainable.

A significant focus of DIHAD 2026 was the need to broaden humanitarian partnerships beyond the traditional aid sector.

Speaking with Dubai TV, Eng. Khaled Al Attar, Director General of DIHAD Sustainable Organization, emphasized the importance of bringing multiple sectors together: “Today we are hosting not only humanitarian and international organizations, but we have also included the private sector and institutions that help humanitarian organizations from around the world,” Al Attar said. “Manufacturers are present, institutions are present, and governments are also present at DIHAD this year in Dubai to shape the future of humanitarian work in the world.”

This cross-sector approach closely aligns with LIFE’s belief that sustainable humanitarian progress depends on bringing together the resources, expertise, innovation, and local knowledge of different stakeholders.

By participating in DIHAD 2026, LIFE strengthened relationships within the international humanitarian community, gained exposure to new approaches and ideas, and created opportunities for future partnerships that can enhance its humanitarian and development work across the regions it serves.

LIFE’s participation at DIHAD ultimately represented more than attendance at an international conference. It provided an opportunity to contribute to a global conversation about what humanitarian action must become: faster in times of emergency, stronger through partnership, and more sustainable for the communities it is intended to serve.
