LAS VEGAS, Sept. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Desert Hope Treatment Center, a leading addiction treatment provider in Las Vegas, has added a virtual intensive outpatient treatment program to its array of care services. The Nevada rehab has added this virtual option for individuals who wish to continue their care at home after completing another program or who may otherwise not be able to attend a treatment program in person due to distance, time, or personal responsibilities.
Nevada sees large numbers of people struggling with addiction. In fact, recent data show that while overdose numbers across the nation dropped significantly, Nevada numbers aren’t dropping at the same rate. “The sluggish rate that we’re seeing overdoses drop in our state is indicative of the need for additional treatment services,” said Dr. Westbrook Kaplan, Medical Director at Desert Hope Treatment Center. “This program brings not only another treatment option to our community but offers flexible at-home care for those who are unable or unwilling to attend an in-person program.”
Key Facts:
- The virtual program was designed for individuals who:
- Have completed a more intensive program and wish to step down into an outpatient level of care.
- Need addiction treatment but cannot take time away to attend an in-person program due to personal or family responsibilities.
- Do not live close to a treatment facility.
- Prefer the privacy and comfort of getting care online.
- Are in early recovery and need structured support with the freedom to live at home.
- Programming occurs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
- The program is open to Nevada residents.
Participants in Desert Hope’s virtual IOP can step down from a higher level program; however, prior treatment is not required. The Las Vegas based addiction treatment center’s intensive outpatient program offers:
- Secure, live video sessions.
- Group therapy and individual counseling.
- Evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing.
- Psychoeducation on topics such as recognizing relapse warning signs, setting healthy boundaries, coping with internal and external triggers, and more.
- Family therapy, as clinically appropriate.
“Far too many people who struggle with substance use disorders don’t get the treatment they need. Time constraints or distance to a treatment center create barriers to getting critical support,” said Ariann Chelli, Interim Executive Director. “We’re thrilled to remove those barriers and add to our already robust care continuum with this flexible virtual program that makes getting or continuing care easier than ever.”
