As we grow, our focus remains the same: make it fast and easy for customers to get the transformers they need.”
Transformers that Power American Industry
Maddox supplies new and remanufactured transformers for commercial and industrial projects across North America. Its product offerings include padmount transformers, substation transformers, dry-type transformers and polemount transformers.
The company has supplied transformers for some of the nation’s largest data center and renewable energy projects. You can also find their transformers powering the lumber mills, manufacturing plants, and heavy industrial infrastructure that drives American industry.
“America’s electric grid needs transformers now more than ever,” said Mac Spiller, Chief Commercial Officer of Maddox. “Aging transformers across the grid need replacing, and new manufacturing facilities and infrastructure projects are adding to that demand. Our team has worked hard to grow alongside this demand without losing focus on our customers and their needs. Their commitment is what makes it possible for Maddox to earn a place on the Inc. 5000 list for another year.”
The NREL reported that 55% of in-service U.S. distribution transformers are already more than 33 years old and will need to be replaced soon. Combined with rising demand from reshored manufacturing facilities, electric vehicle charging infrastructure and renewable energy projects, required transformer capacity could increase by as much as 260% by 2050 compared with 2021 levels.
