AECOM (NYSE:ACM), the trusted global infrastructure leader, today announced an AECOM-led joint venture, 413 Continuity Partners, has been awarded the Highway 413 Program Management Consultant contract by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO).

Highway 413 is a transformative transportation program that will create a new, approximately 59-kilometer transportation corridor with extensions to Highways 410 and 427 in Ontario. Including more than 170 bridges and 60 structural culverts, the program will help address growing transportation demands across the Greater Toronto Area, enhancing connectivity between regional corridors and relieving congestion on existing highways.

“Projects like Highway 413 have the potential to positively influence how this region grows, connects and prospers,” said Richard Barrett, chief executive of AECOM’s Canada region. “We are proud that MTO has entrusted AECOM and our partners with this responsibility. For 115 years, AECOM and our predecessor companies have helped deliver some of Canada’s most important infrastructure, and this program continues that legacy. We are excited to help bring MTO’s vision for Highway 413 to life and to begin this journey with MTO and our partners.”

Over the 10-year assignment, 413 Continuity Partners will provide program management, technical leadership, environmental coordination, stakeholder engagement and communications, and construction oversight to support MTO in delivering Highway 413. The program will be delivered through multiple contracts and progressive delivery models, leveraging AECOM’s 20-year history of supporting this transportation corridor and the Company’s legacy of delivering major infrastructure programs in Canada for over a century.

“Highway 413 is a transformative investment in the future of one of Canada’s busiest transportation corridors,” said Drew Jeter, chief executive of AECOM’s Program Management global business line. “This award reflects AECOM’s leadership in integrated Program Management and our ability to help clients navigate complexity, manage risk and deliver intended outcomes. We look forward to supporting MTO in delivering the next generation of transportation infrastructure in Ontario to reduce congestion and commute times and support the growing population of the Greater Toronto Area.”

AECOM has played a key role in delivering some of Canada’s most complex infrastructure projects from coast to coast. The Highway 413 program award builds on AECOM’s longstanding work supporting transportation infrastructure in Canada and its experience delivering complex, multidisciplinary program management assignments.
